  1. Hello All!

My name is Erin; this is my porch! I wanted to take a few minutes and let you know about our experience with Daves Handyman Services.

My husband and I recently hired Dave to do a laundry list of jobs around the house. From rotted window boards to sagging drywall and all the way to a leaking sink with water damaged boards and finally to the porch.

Dave did absolutely fantastic work. Right off the bat one of the things that impressed me most was his ability to manage all the projects. He started with the sink. After fixing the leak, he laid paper towel and let it sit while he went to work on the garage. This afforded him time to see if every part of the leak was fixed while not wasting any of my time or money. He worked all the projects this way. It was very impressive and I felt it was very respectful to my time.

The other thing I really appreciated about Dave was his honesty and ability to explain things. On each project, he gave options. "You could do it this way, but it will cost more in materials. If you did it this way, you would save money and the end result would be this." He walked me through each of the different decision points and explained it in a way I could understand. It was very clear that he treated our home with the same care he would have treated his own. My husband even watched and learned for a while Dave worked on our gas water heater. He said it was pretty fun to learn about stuff and Dave was fun to talk with.

But even with all of that, what I was most impressed with was the way Dave helped out. My husband and I recently replaced a doorknob on the door to the garage. I noticed a few weeks ago that the handle was loose, but I kept forgetting to fix it. One morning on the way out the door to work, the screw came out. The doorknob still worked, but I knew when I got home that night, I'd have to get out my tools. What a way to start my morning! Well, I get home that night and the screw is back in place and the knob is like new again. I thanked my husband for fixing it and he just looked at me like I was crazy. He let me know it wasn't him. That's when I realized, Dave did it while he was there. We didn't ask him to and he never mentioned it or made a big deal about it. He just saw something he could quickly fix and did it. That's the kind of guy Dave is.

Before we went with Dave, we priced the same projects to other Handyman Services in the area -- both independent and corporate. Dave was by far the best priced and the least number of hours. Dave's service and quality are higher and his prices are lower than any other services in town.

My husband and I will never go through another handyman. We are officially a Daves Handyman Services home.
